This position is vital for the effective delivery of INDOT's road improvement projects involving utility coordination. The incumbent serves as a liaison between all stakeholders involved, focusing on project schedule and budget, and interactions between local public agencies, consultants, utility companies, railroad companies and the Department of Transportation. **Location****:** This position is located in INDOT’s Central Office Utilities and Railroads Department, Indianapolis Area. **Salary**: The salary range for this position is $85,020\.00 \- $140,344\.00\. Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience.**A Day in the Life:** The essential functions of this role are as follows:* Establishes procedures for overseeing the construction of highway road and bridge projects. * Initiates procedures for reviewing and interpreting plans, specifications and construction methods with contractors. * Prepares unique, unusual or highly complex design plans or reviews similar plans designed by consultants for bridges, roads and related traffic projects. * Establishes methods for initiation, developing and administering major field traffic operations, such as complex interchanges or intersection layouts, addition of auxiliary lanes and collector roadways, signage, lighting and traffic signals. * Establishes procedures for reviewing and inspecting bridges, to provide normal maintenance, cost\-effective repair work or major rehabilitation. * Develops and establishes practices and procedures for directing jo...
