Intern, Transformation - Indigenous This is a full-time summer internship lasting from May 11, 2026, until August 28, 2026. Job Summary The Intern, Transformation is supporting the introduction of new ways of working within CN’s I T department. Y ou will play a key role in facilitating strategic change initiatives and assist in streamlining processes, enhancing data-driven decision-making , and promoting collaboration and upskilling . This position will provide you with hands-on experience in organizational transformation, exposure to industry-leading technology strategies, and opportunities to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation in railroading. Major Responsibilities Progress transformation projects that deliver changes to I T's ways of working Monitor and report on key performance metrics, identifying bottlenecks in current workflows and opportunities for improvements Develop new dashboards and insights on I T performance Organize and update the digital library to ensure resources remain accessible and current for all stakeholders. Develop content to support streamlined communication across teams, including quarterly planning Support training sessions for personnel on new productivity tools and techniques Support the management of industry partnerships and research projects Assist in the governance of innovation activities, ensuring compliance with protocols and best practices, and assisting with the building of business cases Structure and organize research outputs and strategic foresight data to support effective, data-driven transformation initiatives Perform research for major risk areas of projects in I T’s portfolio intake process Analyse market trends and emerging technologies in the rail sector Benchmark leading practices from competitors and adjacent industries such as logistics and transportation Create content for I T’s strategy and roadmap Gain exposure to key elements of railroading and industry best practices, building foundational knowledge in business architecture and innovation management to inform strategic recommendations. Requirements Ability to handle multiple tasks and organize data systematically Capable of conducting thorough and accurate research Precise in handling data and documentation Effective verbal and written communication abilities Competence in using digital tools and handling digital resources Entrepreneurial attitude, as evidenced by side projects Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze data critically Ability to work effectively within a team environment Ability to adapt to changing priorities and new learning experiences Ability to connect common ideas from large swathes of material rapidly Identif ies opportunities to create value V alues human-centred design principles Understand T ransportation and S upply C hain operations * Applied knowledge of common technologies and basic knowledge of emerging technologies Familiarity with Agile ways of working Education Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s D egree in Engineering, Technology, Business Administration, Information Management, Science, Mathematics, or a related field *Any experience/education/skills/knowledge for these above would be considered as an asset This position is for students who self‑identify as First Nations, Inuit, and/or Métis, the Indigenous peoples of Canada.
