**A Day in the Life of a Facilities Tech I**
The Tech I is an entry level position with the facility services organization. Individuals who qualify for this position may have some general maintenance experience but may need coaching and mentoring with commercial building systems. The Facilities Technician I position reports to the Facilities Manager of Plant Operations. This is a varying shift position.

**Here is What You Will Be Doing:**
* Performs ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs work on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems, often under the oversight of more experienced technicians.
* Performs facility inspections and reports on condition affecting operations.
* Responds to facilities emergencies as needed.
* Reviews and understands equipment and methods of operation, building management system (BMS), fire/life safety, and other systems.
* Complies with all safety procedures and requirements.
* Supports afterhours building needs and activities as required.
* Attends training sessions and seminars as required.
* Establishes and maintains a good working relationship with contractors and internal personnel.
* Keeps records of work orders by entering time and notes.
* Work on\-call phone for afterhours support of Cheyenne Regional Medical Center (CRMC) facilities.
* Snow removal and ice mitigation as needed.
* May be required to work at all CRMC sites.
**Desired Skills:**
* Ability to work variable rotating shifts
* Ability to listen and learn new things, including customer service, troubleshooting and maintaining commercial building systems, etc.
* Ability to use duty phone for day to day requests.
* Basic mechanical skills and eagerness to learn
* Solid computer skills in a variety of platforms to include, desktop, laptop, and iPad
* Ability to communicates effectively both orally and writing
* Basic reading and writing skills
**Here is What You Need:**
* Valid USA driver’s license
* Must have clean driving record that follows Cheyenne Regional Medical Center’s driving guidelines
**Nice to Have:**
* Healthcare maintenance experience
* Experience with commercial building systems and/or general maintenance
* High school diploma (or Equivalent Certificate from an accredited program) or higher degree
