**Domestic Account Executive I responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:**
* Conduct thorough research to identify potential leads and prospects, develop tailored entrance strategies, and qualify their transportation spend to generate new business opportunities.
* Manage a high volume of outbound phone calls to sell transportation solutions, negotiate rates, and service your existing client network.
* Grow a book of business through identifying, sourcing, and developing relationships with prospective clients.
* Present the full range of services offered by R\+L Global Logistics to customers, building comprehensive logistics and supply chain solutions that address their unique needs.
* Prepare accurate quotes for new and existing business partners in alignment with monthly and quarterly goals.
* Ensure precise input of customer information into our transportation management system.
* Collaborate closely with the Capacity team to secure load coverage and dispatch arrangements, address shipment challenges, and ensure that shippers and consignees are well\-informed.
* Cultivate long\-term relationships with clients and carriers by consistently delivering unmatched customer service.
* Utilize upselling techniques to promote and sell additional services.
* Manage a robust sales pipeline, lead generation, and sales funnel.
* Demonstrate a proactive approach to identifying and resolving problems that may arise in the course of business.
**Qu** **al** **ifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
**Required:**
* High school diploma or GED is required
* Previous experience selling a “service” to customers or businesses
* Strong negotiation, questioning skills, conflict resolution, and exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* Detail\-oriented mindset with effective time management and multitasking abilities
* Demonstrated strong work ethic and eagerness to learn and apply sales techniques in a fast\-paced environment
* Possess the drive, assertiveness, passion, and dedication required to excel in the logistics industry
* Available to work full\-time on\-site at our office location
* Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
**Preferred:**
* Bachelor’s Degree is a plus.
* Working knowledge of the sales cycle, a sales pipeline, and a sales funnel is a plus
* Previous experience in full truckload and 3PL sales is a plus
* Familiarity with transportation modes such as dry van, expedited, flatbed, oversized, refrigerated, or intermodal is a plus.
