Dispatcher / Data Entry

**Overview** Looking for a Dispatcher / Data Entry clerk, where you'll be the main contact person between drivers, customers, brokers and me the owner. This role offers opportunity to coordinate loads in the Chicagoland area, manage data entry processes, and ensure seamless communication across emails, text , phone calls or in person . If you thrive in a fast\-paced environment, possess excellent communication skills, and have a passion for logistics, this position is perfect for you! **Responsibilities** * Book , plan and dispatch loads for local drivers using Load Boards and keep track of driver locations to ensure timely delivery. * Enter and maintain accurate data related to loads like , commodity, pay rate, locations and miles. * Communicate effectively with drivers, brokers and clients via email or phone while practicing professional phone / computer etiquette. * Monitor drivers in real time tracking to optimize routes and respond promptly to any delays or issues. * Assist with payments, driver logs, hours and operations, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to schedules. * Support load booking by analyzing logistics data to improve transportation efficiency and reduce costs. * Maintain organized records of dispatch activities, shipment statuses, and related documentation for audit purposes. **Requirements** * Proven experience in dispatching within a logistics or transportation environment. * Strong knowledge of the Chicagoland area ( 100 mile radius ). * Use our database of customers as a transportation planning tool. * Excellent analysis skills to interpret logistics data and make informed decisions. * Exceptional communication skills with the ability to multitask. * Around 30 wpm typing speed with accuracy for efficient data entry tasks ( preffered ). * Familiarity with excel, word, scanning, emailing and other basic office duties. * Bilingual is a plus. * If little to no experience, I will start you at $15 and will train the right candidate for up to a month and then do a review on how you are catching on and then we can adjust pay. If you have experience and you catch on quickly you will be paid $20\. This is part time work, 30 hours max per week at this time, flexible with hours but hours needed are 9am to 3pm during the week.
