PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The Coordinator, Interline Agreement Audits evaluates the financial and operational performance of Interline agreements to identify risks, improvement opportunities, and revenue enhancement potential. The role leverages institutional knowledge, historical practices, and agreement insights to deliver actionable recommendations that strengthen CPKC’s financial position by reducing costs, improving accuracy, and uncovering new revenue streams.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Conduct detailed audits of Interline agreements, assessing data accuracy, rate application, compliance, operational performance, and root causes
Prepare comprehensive reports outlining findings and recommended actions
Serve as the primary agreement lead for key Interline projects, keeping the manager informed on progress, risks, timelines, and anticipated benefits
Lead and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance processes, drive efficiencies, and support continuous improvement across functions.
Develop quarterly financial and operational metrics for senior leadership
Track progress of projects, initiatives, and agreement development
Explore new technologies to enhance operational management and decision-making
Provide analytical support for audits and partner transaction reviews
Partner with Commercial, Operations, Strategy, and other departments to execute business opportunities and advance changes that positively impact CPKC’s financial and operational outcomes
Support operational and financial reporting for special projects

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Post-secondary degree in business analytics, accounting/finance, economics, transportation, or related field
2 years' experience in freight or commuter railway operations or other transportation logistics
Proficiency with Excel, SAP, databases, or BI tools for data analysis and reporting
Demonstrated process improvement skills; experience with audits and financial reconciliations
Strong stakeholder collaboration and teamwork abilities
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and detail orientation

Management Conductor Program
Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
