Job Summary
Provide technical, logistical, and administrative support to the Manager Engineering Production for the efficient and cost-effective management of large-scale construction/production work on the right of way. Work in both the office and in the field in all types of weather conditions to support a 24/7 operation.
Essential Functions
Monitor field activities to ensure safety compliance, reporting observations for continuous improvement.
Provide oversight for various project activities, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
Conduct QA/QC checks to meet FRA and Amtrak safety standards for train operations.
Coordinate track projects with internal and external departments, managing labor schedules.
Efficiently plan and allocate resources for timely task completion.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.
Plus 6 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.
Plus 8 years of relevant work experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Effectively communicate with employees and customers at all organizational levels
Proficient in MS Office applications for various job functions
Demonstrated expertise in inspection, maintenance, and construction
Experienced in railroad operations, operating rules, and production work procedures
Knowledgeable about Federal Railroad Regulations
The salary/hourly range is $122,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. Depending on an employee’s assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee’s base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
