Salary range:
Entry Level - 1+ years of experience: $61,600 - $75,000
1+ years of experience:Â $72,200 - $88,000

These ranges reflect what BNSF Railway reasonably expects to pay for this position, based on the role’s level, scope, and responsibilities. Final compensation and position level will be determined by factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to base pay and bonus eligibility, BNSF offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Key responsibilities may include:
Â
Coordinating
monthly close process and applying GAAP to financial transactions
Verifying
accuracy of financial statements
Preparing
various journal entries and account reconciliations on a monthly basis
Compiling
monthly financial statement packet to Berkshire Hathaway
Compiling, reviewing,
and
reconciling
of internal and external reporting packages for the SEC, STB, and AAR
Developing
appropriate annual plans and monthly forecasts
Reviewing
the reconciliation of intercompany accounts and researching technical accounting guidance
Daily work
is conducted in an indoor office environment.

Basic Qualifications:
Â
Able to work now and in the future without BNSF’s assistance (whether monetary, through sponsorship, or otherwise) in obtaining, maintaining, or extending employment authorization (including H-1B, STEM OPT/CPT, or TN nonimmigrant status).Â
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline
Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

Preferred Qualifications:

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Working knowledge of SAP
Experience in public accounting
